Saudi Arabia donates 150 tonnes of dates to Afghanistan

Saudi Arabia donated 150 tonnes of dates in humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan on Monday.

The aid package is worth one million riyal ($270,000), charge d’affaires of the Saudi embassy said at a press conference in Kabul.

It will be delivered to the poor families through Afghan Red Crescent Society.

Thanking the kingdom for the assistance, Mirwais Akbar, the caretaker of the organization, said that Saudi was planning to sponsor Afghan children suffering from heart defect.
