Uber launches loyalty scheme to reward Saudi drivers

Saudi Arabia, May 5, 2018

Uber has announced the launch of Uber Platinum, a loyalty program designed to reward local partner drivers using the application across Saudi Arabia.

The announcement follows the company’s celebration of a major milestone last year after it announced onboarding more than 150,000 Saudi partners in the kingdom and also unveiled its new driver support centre in Riyadh.

By registering to join Uber Platinum, partner drivers will get a chance to make their trips more rewarding by earning points for every trip they take.

The points can then be exchanged for a wide range of lifestyle benefits, from online shopping, travel, telecoms, groceries, jewellery and fitness to special discounts at selected stores.

Uber Platinum members will also be entitled to priority support at Uber offices, and will get a chance to participate in lucky draws for vacations and mobile phones.

Anthony Khoury, Uber regional general manager, said: “Our partner-drivers in the kingdom have helped make it one of our most important markets globally, so it was important that we present them with this new loyalty program that offers a host of benefits, and makes their journey with Uber more rewarding.”

All partner-drivers in Saudi Arabia can now sign up to the loyalty program by downloading the free app which is available on Google play and will be made available in Apple store soon.
